  1. It's 2 pieces of chicken breast, 1 inch thick.
  2. It's 3/2-2 tablespoons of oil.
  3. Prepare 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter.
  4. It's of Seasoning.
  5. You need 1 teaspoon of salt, maybe slightly more.
  6. It's 1 teaspoon of paprika.
  7. You need 1 teaspoon of onion powder.
  8. It's 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
  9. You need 1 teaspoon of basil.
  10. Prepare 1 teaspoon of thyme.
  11. Prepare 1 teaspoon of oregano.
  12. You need 1 teaspoon of parsley.
  13. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder for an extra kick (optional).

Pan-Seared Chicken Breast step by step

  1. Do whatever you like to make the thickness of chicken to about 1 inch.
  2. Dress the chicken however you like and pat dry.
  3. Add seasoning to a bowl and mix together.
  4. Rub seasoning mix onto chicken breasts and let sit for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add oil to pan and set stove to medium high heat.
  6. Once oil is hot add breasts to pan presentation side down.
  7. Let cooked undisturbed for around 4 minutes or until the white creeps up just over half the height.
  8. Add butter to pan and flip breasts.
  9. Let cook for another another 3 minutes.
  10. Flip once more and cook for 1 minute.
  11. Plate breasts, pour leftover sauce from pan onto chicken, and let rest for 5 minutes.
  12. Slice chicken into strips against the grain, if possible, and enjoy.
