The recipe reminds me of my grandma; she used to love cakes. combine ingredients until batter is thin (adding milk until consistency is reached). grease frying pan with butter. ladle batter into center of frying pan (amount to ladle in depends on frying pan size) immediately lift pan and rotate to spread batter to edges of pan, creating a thin even layer. Place stew meat, water, onion, salt, and pepper in a large stockpot. To make the pancakes, heat a lightly greased frying pan over medium heat. Remove the batter from the refrigerator and mix well.
