  1. Sift dry ingredients twice.
  2. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Set aside..
  3. Beat egg yolks, add milk and mix with dry ingredients only enough to blend them..
  4. Add melted butter.
  5. Fold in the beaten egg whites last..
  6. Bake in electric waffle iron..
  7. Serve with any syrup or sauce..

I got a waffle maker and couldn't wait to try it out. They were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This recipe is perfect as-is, but if you want a sweeter waffle you can up the sugar to as much as you like. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Whisk milk, eggs and oil in a medium bowl.
